About Kazi Nazrul Islam Institute

In 1892 the Hind Marsh Institute, one of the oldest Railway Institutes of Eastern Railway came into being in the very house that belonged to the Homeopathy doctor Priya Nath Das of Eastern Bengal State Railway.

In the year 1940, Kazi Nazrul Islam was invented as Judge at an event of songs and recitation during the Railway Week held at Hind Marsh Institute.

A few years later it was decided, that Hind Marsh Institute would be re-named as Kazi Nazrul Islam Institute in the poet's honour. At present different indoor games, cultural competition, sports, one act drama competition, football tournament (Giriza Mohan Shield) and science exhibition are organized every year. The institute also has a Library.

Railway Institute Booking Policy

The Railway Administration reserves the right to approve or decline any booking at its discretion, as required.

The Earnest money deposit of Rs.500 will be required to ensure the applicant's genuineness.

No refund of earnest money will be provided, Applicants are advised to apply accordingly.

In case of any damage to the property of the Railway Institute, a deduction from the Caution Money will be made based on the extent of the damage.
